Reservations for La Casa De Don David

2010 Authorized rates for Hotel and Restaurant “La Casa De Don David” are established by the Guatemalan Institute of Tourism (INGUAT). The authorized rates are $61-85 double occupancy, including tax. We very seldom charge the maximum authorized INGUAT rate.

The promotional prices listed in our room description below are our best and lowest. These rates include tax and are the same for walk-ins, online bookings, tour operators and/or travel agencies. You may pay more if you book through an agency instead of dealing directly with us. Some agencies that book rooms add 10-12% commission to our prices.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:

The hotel has a total of 15 rooms. All have fans and warm water showers, and most have verandahs, hammocks and/or sitting areas. Only rooms #3 through #13 have A/C. No rooms have television or mosquito nets (not necessary because windows are screened). No rooms are upstairs, most have one or two steps at the entrance. The restaurant and front desk area have ramp access.

We DO NOT put extra beds or floor mattresses in the rooms and do not allow more than the maximum extra persons per room. Smoking is not permitted inside any of the rooms or the restaurant, and we do not allow pets on the premises.

In case of electricity failure, La Casa De Don David has a generator for temporary emergency electricity. This only supplies electricity to the restaurant and main areas, and use of a small light in the rooms. During loss of electricity, you will not have A/C, warm water or use of power outlets in the room, and the generator can be noisy for some rooms (see room description below). However, we do not run the generator after 9-10 pm or before 5:30 am. Electricity failure is not frequent.

For best availability, read the room description below and tell us what room(s) you prefer. List your first and second choice. Please be flexible. When making reservations, it helps to know your expected arrival hour and where you’re coming from.

To secure a room, please make your reservation as soon as possible. We answer email promptly. Upon confirming availability, we will send you a secure connection link to make your reservation deposit by Visa, Mastercard or Paypal. info@lacasadedondavid.com. Reservations are not confirmed until deposit is received, prepayment is required for all reservations. At present time, after arrival at the hotel if using Mastercard you will need to make payment using our computer. For Visa, we use the standard swipe at POS.

Prices are in US dollars and valid through 2009. Pay 20% more for reservations in the very high season: 15th December through 15th January, Holy (Easter) week, and August 15th through 25th.

Prices are per person, with two persons per room (22% tax included). One meal (breakfast or dinner) is included in the price. If only one person occupies the room, add $7.00.

CHECK IN and CHECK OUT information

You can check in and leave your bags at the front desk/reception area any time between 6 am and 10 pm. Your bags are 99.9% safe but we DO NOT accept responsibility. We do not have lockers.

You can occupy your room at 1 pm or sometime earlier, if the previous occupants have checked out and the room is clean and ready.

Check out is at 12:00 pm.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

It's best to make payment over the internet with your credit card. We accept Visa and Master Card. After confirming room availability, we will send you a secure connection link by email.

We also accept Paypal and International Money Order, or you may send a personal check to our Florida office. Please ask for details.

Western Union: send in the name of Ingrid Yohana Rodas, El Remate, Flores, Peten, Guatemala. Please notify when payment is sent.

If in Guatemala you can make a deposit to our bank account, please ask for details.

La Casa De Don David Cancellation Policy
If you cancel your prepaid reservations you will receive a refund under the following conditions:

30 days or more before your reservation date, you will receive 80% of your payment
15-29 days before your reservation date, you will receive 50% of your payment
10-14 days before your reservation date, you will receive 25% of your payment
If you cancel in writing 9 days or less before your reservation date, refunds are given only under exceptional conditions, and are subject to our approval.
All reservations must be cancelled in writing.
